Leading digital bank Tandem announces the appointment of three Key Relationship Managers to its Mortgage division.

With over 70 years of combined experience operating in the financial services industry, Mark Shelper, David Venn and Gordon Rae join Tandem’s Mortgage division this month to accelerate and amplify the company’s mission to build the UK’s greener digital bank, focused on providing greener lending choices for its customers.

• Gordon Rae joins as Key Relationship Manager with responsibility for our Package and Specialist Distributors nationally. With over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry, he played a key role in launching & establishing GMAC RFC into the UK packager and broker space. Following this, Gordon performed similar roles with the Dudley Building Society, Pepper UK, and most recently The Mortgage Lender.

Commenting on the new appointments, Steve Beard, Managing Director, Mortgages, said:

“Earlier this year, we launched our specialist residential first charge mortgage range, focused on bringing a refreshing approach to the mortgage market.

“I am delighted to welcome Mark, David, and Gordon to the team at an exciting time as we grow our business and develop our mortgage offering even further. They will be welcomed by our intermediary partners within networks, clubs and packagers to support their specialist lending requirements. Our experience of lending across all our divisions makes us ideally placed to help consumers during challenging times. Our manual underwriting, complemented with our technology and experience, will help us achieve our aim of being the UK’s greener digital bank.”

Following its acquisition of Oplo in January 2022, Tandem has been clear on its mission to be the UK’s greener, digital bank. To achieve this, it has set out its intentions to broadened and enhance its product offering across a range of savings and consumer lending products, including first and second charge mortgages, car finance and home improvement loans. The appointment of these Key Relationship Managers is therefore another key step for Tandem in providing customers with an improved offer and to make greener financial decisions.
