AI tools are everywhere now, and we know they can be helpful. But when it comes to hiring, we’re proudly human. Every step of the way, real people make the decisions – not machines.

That said, we know candidates may choose to use AI to help craft applications, and that’s okay. What matters most is that we still get to see you, your ideas, your experiences, and your voice.

Using AI in a Way That’s True to You

If you do use AI in your application, we simply ask that it supports your story rather than replaces it. Here’s what we mean.

CVs and Applications
AI can help you summarise experience or tidy up spelling, which is great. But your CV should still reflect your experience and voice.
Please avoid exaggerating or fabricating experience or qualifications. Try not to submit the same AI-generated CV to every job or rely too heavily on buzzwords that don’t add substance.
Interviews
We’ll always let you know what to expect in interviews and encourage you to reflect on your real experiences. We want to hear honest stories about your journey and skills. Tell us how you work and think. We’re looking for the real, work-in-progress version of you.
To get the most from the process, avoid rehearsed or AI-generated scripts. We want to connect with the real you so don’t hide behind tools or use AI during the interview itself.
Assessment Tasks
Some roles include tasks, either live or take-home. You are welcome to use AI tools to help you prepare or organise your thoughts. The work you submit should still be your own. Feel free to check your grammar or come prepared with notes.
Please don’t rely on AI to complete the task for you, use AI in real time during a live task or read answers directly from an AI tool. You should be able to explain the decisions you made and how you approached the task.

Final Thoughts

We are not here to catch people out. We want you to succeed and find the right opportunity. Misusing AI can get in the way and might mean missing out on a role that is a great match for you.
